Physician Assistant
Mark Hammar, PA-C
Mark Hammar, PA-C was born and raised in Rexburg, Idaho and graduated from Madison High School. After serving as a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Hong Kong, he attended Rick’s College where he got an associate’s degree in general studies.
He then transferred to Idaho State University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in microbiology. He graduated from Jefferson College of Health Sciences in Roanoke, Virginia after completing their Physician Assistant program and is certified by the NCCPA. He started his career as a PA working at a pediatric clinic in Martinsville, Virginia and fell in love with pediatrics.
He had the opportunity to return back to his roots and started practicing pediatrics in Rexburg in 2008. He has been practicing primary care pediatrics for over 17 years now. Mark has been married to his beautiful wife Megan for 25 years. They have 4 wonderful children that keep them laughing.
Mark’s favorite hobby is spending time with his family. He also enjoys the outdoors, especially fishing of any kind, as well as playing the guitar and singing. Mark loves working with parents and their children and feels like he has the best job ever.
