About Dr. Hymas
Pediatrician
Jason Hymas, MD
Jason Hymas, MD, grew up in Sugar City and graduated from Sugar-Salem High School. After serving as a missionary for two years for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Brazil, he then attended BYU-Idaho where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. He graduated from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee and then completed his Pediatric residency training at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
He has been practicing primary care pediatrics for over a decade now and will tell you that he has the best job in the world! Dr. Hymas loves taking care of kids and becoming part of their family as they grow up. He helps kids feel comfortable and at ease when they come in by talking to them at their level and making the visits as fun as possible.
Dr. Hymas really fits in well in the Pediatric clinic because he’s basically just a big kid himself! When he’s not at work, he loves anything related to Star Wars or video games. When he tries to be a grownup, he will occasionally work in his wood shop on the lathe, try his hand at photography, or play the piano and cello. He is happily married and has five great kids.
